The UTRGV Center for Innovation and Commercialization (CIC)
The UTRGV Center for Innovation and Commercialization (CIC), brings together students across a wide variety of disciplines to pitch innovative startup ideas to a panel of judges in a Shark Tank-like competition. With the help of Blackstone LaunchPad, the CIC has hosted this signature event for the past three years, providing over $10,000 in seed funding for student-founded ventures and resulting in the launch of multiple startups.
